QPR v Cardiff City Live: Team news and score updates from pre-season friendly

Cardiff City are in action once again today as they ramp up their preparations for the League One season.

Ten days out from beginning their campaign in the third tier, the Bluebirds take on QPR in a behind-closed-doors friendly. That first league fixture at home to Peterborough will come around quickly and no doubt new head coach Brian Barry-Murphy will want to see some meaningful progress this close to the season. City have been in decent shape in pre-season and are actually undefeated under Barry-Murphy, having beaten Newport County, Southend United and Cambridge United so far. They did, however, concede a late equaliser while down to 10 men against Malaysian side Johor Darul Ta'zim while out in Murcia —resulting in a 2-2 draw— registering their only stalemate of pre-season.
