QPR 1-1 Swansea City: Jay Fulton cancels out Jamal Lowe effort as points are shared

Jay Fulton netted his fourth goal of the campaign to earn Swansea City a point at Queens Park Rangers.

The Swans failed to trouble Seny Dieng for long periods at Loftus Road and fell behind as their former striker Jamal Lowe coolly slotted beyond Steven Benda.

Ilias Chair and Lowe both had huge opportunities to put the game beyond doubt for the Londoners, but Fulton rounded off a fine attack nine minutes from time to clinch a point for the Swans.

Russell Martin named the same 11 that started the 3-1 win over Sunderland last weekend, although Morgan Whittaker was not included on the bench.

The 22-year-old was due to be listed among the substitutes for the contest in west London but did not travel with his team-mates after stating he was not in the right frame of mind to feature amid transfer interest from Rangers.

The Swans started well in west London and saw Ben Cabango and Harry Darling both fail to hit the target with headers from corners early on.

Martin will have been fairly pleased with the opening stages, although the Hoops soon improved, with Benda making a routine save to gather Wales international Tyler Roberts' header from Kenneth Paal's driven free-kick.

And the visitors were undone by one of their former employers just before the half hour mark. Swansea failed to clear Roberts' driven cross, and former Swan Lowe lashed a driven shot beyond Benda and into the bottom corner to put Neil Critchley's men 1-0 up.
