Pundits all saying the same ahead of Leicester City vs Southampton season finale

Pundits Mark Lawrenson, Michael Owen and Paul Merson are all in agreement over how they predict Leicester City's home clash with Southampton to finish.

The Foxes host Ralph Hassenhuttl's side on Sunday afternoon at the King Power Stadium to conclude their respective Premier League seasons. Southampton have nothing to play for after securing their top-flight status, and all that Leicester City can do is leapfrog Wolves into eighth position if they win.

Both teams' supporters will be wondering how differently their seasons could have panned out had they not been quite so inconsistent. We have taken a look at what the pundits have been saying ahead of the season finale.

Former Liverpool defender and BBC pundit Mark Lawrenson has predicted that City will run-out 2-0 winners on Sunday, as per his BBC Sport column : "These are two of the most inconsistent teams we have seen in the Premier League all season, which has made their results very difficult to predict.

"I always have a bit more confidence in Leicester when Jamie Vardy is fit and in the kind of form he is showing at the moment though, and the Foxes are at home too. It has been disappointing ending to the season for Southampton, who have won only one of their past 11 league games.

"Even so, they have never for one moment looked like being dragged into the relegation scrap so I don't get why their manager Ralph Hasenhuttl is coming under pressure from Saints fans. What are they expecting him to do?"
