Pundits agree on Arsenal vs Leicester City prediction as bubble set to 'burst'

Chris Sutton has given his Premier League predictions for this weekend's fixtures and both him and former Gunners midfielder Paul Merson agree on how Arsenal vs Leicester will go.

The Foxes didn't have the best start to their 2022/23 Premier League campaign as they surrendered a 2-0 lead over Brentford, conceding two second-half goals at home for a point against the London club.

Arsenal won their season opener 2-0 over Crystal Palace in the Premier League's first game of this season. Goals from Gabriel Martinelli and a Marc Guehi own goal saw the Gunners win away from home and they'll look to continue that form this weekend.

Sutton's BBC Sport Premier League Predictions saw him worried about how Leicester were going to deal with Arsenal's strong attack, especially with new signing Gabriel Jesus looking so good against Crystal Palace last week.

"All does not seem well at Leicester, who have still not made any signings this summer," Sutton said.

"They have still got some very good players but I get the sense Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers is not entirely happy with the situation and, on the pitch, they blew a two-goal lead against Brentford last week.

"I don't want to jump on that bandwagon because I think Arsenal's bubble will eventually burst a little bit, but I like what Gabriel Jesus has brought to their attack and, at home, I think they should edge this one."

Sutton predicted a 2-1 win for Arsenal, whilst Merson was equally negative in his preview for this weekend. He highlighted Arsenal's goalscoring abilities and the Foxes' leaky defence last week.
