Pundit urges West Ham to make 'no risk' swoop for EFL star Joe Worrall

Former Premier League striker Noel Whelan has urged West Ham to make a ‘no risk’ move for Nottingham Forest ace Joe Worrall.

The 25-year-old centre-back has been in superb form this season and as a result, has been heavily linked with a move to the Hammers.

Worrall would appear to be high on the list of priorities at the London Stadium as David Moyes looks ahead to the summer transfer window.

Speaking to Football Insider, Whelan suggested that the Engish defender would be the ideal target.

“Worrall has been a very good centre-half for Nottingham Forest for years now. He’s been a standout there and I’m surprised that he’s been there so long, quite frankly. We know West Ham need little bit more centre-half cover if they’re going to be in Europe again. It looks like they are. They’re going to need these players. It’s going to give them that bigger squad that they need. If there’s any certain time where it looks like they need them, it’s now. There’s no risk with going into the Championship. He’s done it for years he’s been very consistent. He’s got the character, the drive, the passion and the physicality you need to compete.”
