Pundit makes Nottingham Forest vs Bournemouth prediction which could benefit Steve Cooper’s men

Sky Sports pundit Don Goodman has said that he believes being the away team will benefit Nottingham Forest in this evening’s crucial Championship game vs AFC Bournemouth.

Forest go into the game knowing that a win at the Vitality Stadium would see them take control of the race for automatic promotion going into the final game of the season against Hull City at the weekend. However, a loss would mean that the Reds will have to settle for a place in the play-offs.

If the score ends all level, then Forest would have to rely on Millwall beating Bournemouth on the final day to keep their hopes of a top-two finish alive. The Cherries host the Lions at the Vitality Stadium at the weekend.

The game between Bournemouth and Forest has gained a lot of interest from outside of the two clubs, with Goodman outlining his excitement of watching the game, which kicks off at 7pm.“I think it’s going to be a really good game, I think both will go for it in the end,” he told Sky Sports News.

“There’s a part of me that thinks that the way Bournemouth play and the way Forest play it might be not the worse thing in the world that Nottingham Forest are away from home because they are one of the best counter-attacking teams with all of that pace and ability going forward. They’re in fine form, so from that angle it could be set up for them.

“But Bournemouth go into this as a solid team that are hard to beat, I think they’ve only lost one of their last 12. I know it sounds like I’m sitting on the fence, but I’ve honestly not got a clue what is going to happen tonight, all I do know is that I’ll be tuned in and watching with interest.”
