Pundit gushes over Liverpool attacker who ‘could replace’ in-form Real Madrid star
A pundit has waxed lyrical about Liverpool forward Luis Diaz, saying the January signing is making fans go ‘crazy’ and that he could replace an in-form star at Real Madrid.
Liverpool scouted the left winger for months as he impressed at Porto in the Primeira Liga. They were planning to move for him in the summer but had to speed up the process amid interest from Tottenham.
The Reds won the race for Diaz, capturing him for an initial £37.5million and getting him to pen a long-term contract at Anfield.
Diaz has been a revelation since then, slotting into the Liverpool front three seamlessly. He is thriving in Jurgen Klopp’s system and has already found the net four times in a Liverpool shirt.
It could be argued that the Colombia international is already a member of Klopp’s best forward three. The Merseyside outfit look deadly with him on the left, Sadio Mane through the middle and Mo Salah out on the right.

Diaz put in a great performance during the 4-0 rout against Manchester United, registering a goal and assist. And he excelled in the 2-0 derby victory over Everton, while also showing off some insane skill.
Colombia hero Tino Asprilla, who spent time at Newcastle and Parma, has heaped praise on his compatriot.
The pundit also suggested Diaz could replace Vinicius Junior at Real Madrid. That’s despite the winger notching 18 goals this term
