PSG ultras call for huge changes in damning statement as Mauricio Pochettino faces pressure
Paris Saint-Germain’s ultras group have called for “complete reorganisation at all levels” as Mauricio Pochettino comes under increasing pressure.
The Argentine’s position as the club’s manager is under intense scrutiny following their exit from the Champions League this week. The French side threw away a 2-0 aggregate lead in spectacular fashion as Karim Benzema scored a hat-trick in the final 30 minutes of the tie to send Real Madrid through to the quarter-finals.
Pochettino’s role has faced questions for some time now, with the former Tottenham boss having been identified as one of the frontrunners to become Manchester United’s new permanent manager. Reports in France over the past few months have suggested he could face the sack, with this week’s defeat turning the heat up on him.

Collectif Ultras Paris have now released a strong statement, calling for major changes at all levels at the club, including the removal of their president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi. The group plan to stage a protest at PSG’s next league game against Bordeaux on Sunday.
“The unacceptable and inevitable disillusion that we feared and foresaw has unfortunately been realised,” the statement said. “How can you have this mindset that moves mountains when your season seems to begin in February and you play domestic competitions at a senatorial pace?
“How can you have a genuine game plan when your squad is nothing but a bunch of ‘stars’ who barely complement one another? How can a coach be the respected boss of the changing room when he is manifestly not the true decision maker?
