Cristiano Ronaldo and Tom Brady meet on Old Trafford pitch after Manchester United star breaks another record

Two legends of their sports came together on the Old Trafford pitch after Cristiano Ronaldo was seen chatting to Tom Brady after another record-breaking night.

NFL great Brady had made his way over the Atlantic to watch Manchester United’s crucial game against Tottenham. And the former New England Patriots quarterback was treated to quite the spectacle, with Ronaldo at his brilliant best.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner struck a spectacular hat-trick to earn United a 3-2 win over Spurs, having returned to the side after missing last week’s Manchester derby through injury. The victory provides the Reds with a huge boost as they look to clinch fourth this season.

Ronaldo’s hat-trick also marked yet another record-breaking night for the 37-year-old. In striking the 805th, 806th and 807th goals of his career, the Portuguese superstar equalled and then passed the tally to become the highest goal-scorer of all time.

And Brady will no doubt have enjoyed seeing another master of his craft in action. Tweeting before the game, the seven-time Super Bowl champion said: "Here we go! @Cristiano vs. @HKane. I might fist pump if you score Harry but I’m riding with @ManUtd today."

And the pair managed to get a moment to meet and speak to each other on the Old Trafford pitch at the end of the game, with Brady no doubt congratulating Ronaldo on the latest milestone in his sparkling career.

Ronaldo wasn’t the only United player to get a moment with the NFL legend. Ronaldo’s Portuguese team-mate Diogo Dalot also managed to get a picture with Brady, although the 44-year-old would have to make do with playing second fiddle on another
