Proteas spin legend heartbroken at Warne death: 'Thanks for the advice'
The death of Australian cricket icon Shane Warne continued to be met with shock and heartache on Saturday as the game's global community paid their respects.
Considered by many to be the greatest spin bowler in the history of the game, the extent of Warne's impact on cricket can be seen in the reactions from all over the world.
One of many who was left heartbroken by the news was Imran Tahir, a leg-spinner like Warne who is the best to have ever represented South Africa in limited overs cricket.
Tahir, now 42, took to social media on Saturday to pay his respects to Warne, who was 52 when he suffered a suspected heart attack in Thailand on Friday (SA time).
"Such an approachable person and someone who inspired many to take up the difficult art of leg spin," Tahir wrote.
