'Prolific burglars' arrested after high-speed police chase

A pair of 'prolific burglars' have been arrested after a high-speed police chase.

Officers said the two men were wanted in connection with a spate of burglaries across Greater Manchester. Yesterday evening (Monday), police received reports of a burglary at a home in Blackley, during which three vehicles were stolen.

Two men, who were inside the car, attempted to flee on foot across moorland in Saddleworth but were chased by officers.

The men, aged 22 and 19, were arrested on suspicion of burglary, dangerous driving, possession of controlled drugs and failing to stop for police. A large quantity of cash and drugs were recovered from inside the BMW.
