"Priority...": Fabrizio Romano drops huge update on Liverpool target, FSG must act now - opinion

Liverpool have held a long-term interest in Bukayo Saka, and a new update has now emerged from a reliable source regarding the player’s future.

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal are in talks to negotiate a new contract with the young forward.

The transfer insider tweeted: “Bukayo Saka’s contract extension has always been priority for Arsenal, talks are still ongoing with his agent in order to reach full agreement on long term deal. Saka’s happy with Arsenal project, discussing on salary details.”

Over 38 Premier League appearances last term, Saka scored 11 goals, delivered seven assists and created eight big chances, making 1.8 key passes and 1.1 tackles and winning 4.3 duels per game, and he finished the season as the Gunners’ top scorer.

Saka’s performances have attracted a lot of praise, and Ray Parlour shared his thoughts on the attacker following their victory over Newcastle last season.
