Premier Sports Cup draw LIVE as Celtic aim for quarter finals after Dundee United seal their place

The Premier Sports Cup in its current format is one of the modern quirks of Scottish football and it adds something special to the early stages of the season.

It's only mid-August and already we've got fairytales in the making with clubs up and down the country dreaming of Hampden. League Two Spartans were the story of the last 16, as they became the first fourth-tier side since Rangers all the way back in 2013 to make this stage of the League Cup when they stunned Ross County for a famous victory at Ainslie Park.

Falkirk also sent Hearts packing as the Bairns continue their impressive run while Dundee smashed Airdrieonians and Aberdeen's new hero Topi Keskinen saved their day against Queen's Park.

Champions Rangers go into the hat after their win over St Johnstone and after Celtic and Hibs conclude the third of today's games, the draw for the last eight will get underway at Parkhead.
