Prediction for Rangers vs Celtic: Back Hoops to claim three points that would all but seal another SPL title

There is a lot on the line when Rangers and Celtic do battle once again at Irox on Sunday.

Celtic have an opportunity to all but seal anther Scottish Premiership title by stretching their lead to six points with just six more games to go, while the hosts could blow the title race wide open if they can find a way to bagging all three points.

For Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side, it's effectively win or bust but they only have themselves to blame for being in such a position having dropped points in five matches since the resumption of the league.

While Rangers have been dropping points, Celtic have been utterly irresistible. The Hoops are on a 25-game unbeaten league run that stretched back to September and Ange Postecoglou's side have taken maximum points from ten of their last 11 league matches.

Celtic's underlying numbers back up the assumption that they are the best side in Scotland, despite the fact that they are actually underperforming on xGF. They have scored more goals than Rangers, created more big chances and kept more clean sheets.

There was also quite a sizeable gulf in class between these sides when they met at Parkhead in early February, and with that in mind, it's a little surprising to see the Hoops as big as 9/5 with Betfred to continue their stunning run of form in the league.

However, Rangers' recent record at Ibrox goes some way to explaining that away win price. The Gers are unbeaten in their last 19 Scottish Premiership matches at Ibrox and have kept clean sheets in eight of their last nine home league matches.

Rangers are super strong at home but Celtic have scored at least twice in 11 of their last 13
