Predicted Rangers XI shows where Cantwell stands as Clement offers two chances to fix problem position

The frustration of Thursday's Europa League stumble has been high but Rangers must park it all in search of three precious Premiership points.

Philippe Clement knows his side could be 11 behind Celtic come kick-off against St Mirren on Sunday if the champions prevail at McDiarmid Park over St Johnstone. And the Belgian can't allow the gap to stay that way or widen at all if he wants to keep talk of a title race competitive beyond Christmas. Big decisions await him though when it comes to his team selection.

Todd Cantwell was hooked in th first half during the 1-1 draw with Cypriot side Aris Limassol at Ibrox, and it has sparked debate on the playmaker's Ibrox future under Clement. He has been played out of position on the right flank, with the plan to play with wingers hampered by a lack of depth when it comes to those positions. And a baby boom isn't helping tiredness levels across the board either.

Ross McCausland has stepped up alongside Abdallah Sima and Rabbi Matondo is also keen to make his presence felt after returning from a spell out. Here's Rangers' provisional squad and predicted XI for the game against St Mirren, as a potential five-man shake-up from Thursday lies in wait.
