Alex Neil has been unveiled as the Sunderland head coach.

The former Preston North-End boss will take charge of the Black Cats at AFC Wimbledon today and faces a difficult run in during his honeymoon period.

The Wearsiders will host promotion rivals MK Dons at the Stadium of Light on February 19th before playing Burton Albion on February 22.

Neil will then face Wigan Athletic at the DW Stadium on February 26, a huge fixture in the battle for the top two.

The Latics have four games in hand on the Black Cats, but as Sunderland know all too well, games in hand do not guarantee points.
