Potential Aaron Wan-Bissaka replacement could get an audition in Manchester United vs Brighton

Manchester United have two games left this season, with trips to Brighton and Crystal Palace still to come. With Champions League qualification now a distant dream, United fans would be forgiven for wishing the season would end so we could edge nearer to seeing what sort of impact Erik ten Hag will have at the club.

Ten Hag has a very specific style of play and United will have to sign a number of players over the next few transfer windows to make sure the team are equipped to adapt to the Dutchman's ways. Two of the most important players in his system are the full-backs and it is likely that the club will need to look for upgrades in the transfer market, especially on the right.

Diogo Dalot has shown some promise under Ralf Rangnick but he still needs to improve. Meanwhile, United fans are worried that Aaron Wan-Bissaka is not comfortable enough in possession and will be a casualty under Ten Hag.

The BBC have reported that Wan-Bissaka could return to Crystal Palace this summer, though a loan move seems more likely if he is to return to his former club when you consider his wages. If he does depart, United will almost certainly look to replace him.

One player who has been tipped with a move to Old Trafford is Tariq Lamptey. Having overcome a serious injury, the youngster has impressed for Brighton this season and at 21 he still has his best years ahead of him.

He has tended to play at right wing-back under Graham Potter but has also made a few appearances at right-back when needed. He seems secure defensively and plays a big part in how Brighton build up to attacks by carrying the ball up the field.
