Police want to speak with this man over 'multiple mobile phone thefts'

A CCTV image of a man police want to speak with in connection with the theft of mobiles phones has been released.

Detectives in Salford have issued a public appeal for anyone who knows who he is to come forward and get in contact with them.

The image was shared on Greater Manchester Police's social media channels on Saturday.

Police said they want to know his identity after 'recent reports of multiple mobile phone thefts from a shop in Walkden town centre' in Salford.

The shop concerned hasn't been identified. It also hasn't been revealed how many mobile phones have been stolen in total.

In a statement, police said: "Police appeal for information to identify a man following reports of stolen phones.

"We're appealing for information about the identity of a man we want to speak to following recent reports of multiple mobile phone thefts from a shop in Walkden town centre.

"We believe the man pictured may have important information and we are appealing to anyone who can identify him to get in touch with our investigation team. Information can be shared by calling us on 101 quoting 1038 of 22/03/2024."

No further details have been revealed.
