Police Special Constable charged with rape
A Special Constable for Greater Manchester Police has been charged with rape in connection with an incident dating back to December 2019. Daniel Carson was based with the division in Rochdale until his suspension from duty.
A spokesperson from GMP said: “Special Constable Daniel Carson, 25, who was based within GMP's Rochdale division, has been charged with rape in connection with an incident that occurred in December 2019.

“Carson will appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court on August 1, 2022. He has been suspended from duty.
“Misconduct proceedings will recommence upon conclusion of criminal proceedings.”
