Police release image of the truck that Daniel Abed Khalife is believed to have escaped from prison on
The Met Police have released an image of the truck that terror suspect Daniel Abed Khalife is believed to have strapped himself to as he escaped from prison on Wednesday morning (September 6).
The 21-year-old ex-soldier, who was at Wandsworth Prison awaiting trial, is thought to have strapped himself to the underside of the Bidfood truck as he escaped.
The Met Police have revealed that the van had left HMP Wandsworth at 7.23am. Khalife was subsequently declared missing at 7.50am before officers were notified at around 8.15am.

Investigations started instantly as officers attempted to track down the delivery van that had left the prison. At 8.37am, police officers stopped the van in Upper Richmond Road. Officers spoke to the driver and carried out a thorough search where strapping was found on the underside of the van.
Police say they currently believe that Khalife was 'hiding underneath the van and used this strapping as part of his escape.'
As part of the ongoing national manhunt, The Met police have now released a CCTV image of the van they believe was used in the escape and have appealed for the public's help in trying to trace him.
The force wrote on X: "This is a CCTV image of the lorry investigators believe was used in the escape, Did you see a man looking like Khalife near it on Wednesday morning?"
In an update on Thursday afternoon, Commander Dominic Murphy, who leads the investigation, said: “Since yesterday, over 150 officers and staff have been working around the clock on apprehending Khalife.
"We have issued a nationwide alert that has resulted in increased security at our ports and borders, however currently there have not
