Police investigating sex attack at pub believe five other women may have been assaulted

Police investigating a sexual assault at a pub in Stockport believe five other women 'may have been assaulted' as a male suspect remains in custody.

Officers were called to the Royal Oak pub in Edgeley at around 9.50pm on Saturday (August 19), to reports that a male was giving 'unwanted, physical attention' to women.

A man was arrested and taken to custody on suspicion of sexual assault, but detectives with Greater Manchester Police say they believe five other women may have been sexually assaulted.

An investigation remains underway with police urging any witnesses or women who may have come in contact with the suspect at the pub to come forward.
