Police hunt three teenagers wielding machetes after man assaulted

Police are hunting three teenagers who were wielding machetes after a man was attacked on Friday night (October 6).

The victim is understood to have been assaulted at around 11pm on Sedgeford Road, in Collyhurst. He is described as having brown hair with a straight fringe, brown eyes and eyebrows and wearing grey and white clothes.

Officers investigating the attack are appealing for information to trace three males, aged between 17 and 18-years-old. They are said to be around 5ft 8ins tall and wearing black clothing, as well as carrying machetes.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police added: "Officers are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward and assist their investigation."
