Plymouth Argyle figure reveals outlook over transfer business

Plymouth Argyle missed out on the League One play-offs last season – and the club will now be desperate to not have similar happen in the next campaign.

That means boss Steven Schumacher and his team will have to work hard to recruit well this offseason – and make sure they bring in the right calibre of players.

As of yet, there has been very little transfer business when it comes to Argyle – but club CEO Andy Parkinson has reassured fans via Plymouth Live that work is being done ‘behind the scenes’ to get some deals done and that some business could be done soon.

There have been no names officially mentioned as having bids gone in for them and there is no confirmation of official approaches but the club official has revealed that there are talks taking place and it means there could soon be some movement on that front.

There have been very little in the way of names linked with switches to the club and more so rumours that have seen some of their current players – like Panutche Camara and Michael Cooper – linked with moves out of the club instead.

However, there are clearly targets on the club’s list because work appears to be being done on the sly – and speaking to Plymouth Live about potential dealings, Parkinson claimed that there is certainly ‘a lot going on in the background.’
