Playing Rangers at Ibrox was so loud I had to take PAINKILLERS for my thumping headache

Union SG keeper Anthony Moris says he's never experienced anything as loud as playing Rangers at Ibrox - and had to take painkillers to ease his headache after their Europa League clash.

Experienced Luxembourg international Moris was between the sticks in Glasgow two years ago when Gio van Bronckhorst's Gers came back from 2-0 down in the first leg to progress in the Champions League qualifiers. The 33-year-old, capped 63 times for his country, has been there and done it all, and is hoping to lead the club to a first Belgian title in an incredible 89 years after soaring eight points clear at the top of the league this season.

When asked about the loudest atmosphere in his career, the 33-year-old had no hesitation recalling his trip to Ibrox. He said: "For me, the very best atmosphere I have ever experienced was the match against Rangers at Ibrox. I even had to take paracetamol after the game because I had such a huge headache due to the noise.

"It was the noisiest game I have ever experienced by far. But although we were beaten, there's no doubt this team learned so much from that game in Scotland.

"It helped us learn what we would come up against at places like Brugges, Antwerp and Standard Liege, although nothing was as loud as that night in Glasgow. We all gained great experience from that game."
