Plans 'all in place' for Cody Rhodes WWE return
It’s Monday, which means there must be a new update on the status of WWE and Cody Rhodes.
While confirmation has yet to be made, various reports have stated that Cody Rhodes has signed with WWE and is set for a return to the company to set up a WrestleMania match with Seth Rollins this weekend.
With the go-home Monday Night Raw taking place tonight and Rollins’ WrestleMania story yet to find a conclusion, many thanks are expecting to see Cody as part of tonight’s show.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer has noted that everything is in place for Rhodes comeback, but the feeling was last week that he won’t be seen on screen until WrestleMania.
There are graphics made and things like that. I don’t know the extent of it but it’s like… there’s stuff being produced, has already been produced, for the show to build to whatever it is with Cody or however that all turns out. But yeah, so (tonight), I don’t know how they announce it but that’s one of the focal points, if not the focal point of the show (tonight’s Raw).
Within the company, this was a week ago so things always change, but a week ago, the talk definitely was that Cody doesn’t show up till WrestleMania.
Over the past few weeks, Seth has squandered several chances to be part of the WrestleMania card, all leading to the idea that The Visionary will be taking on a returning Rhodes on The Grandest Stage of Them All this weekend in Dallas.
Stay tuned to GiveMeSport this week for all the latest news on Cody’s potential return, ahead of a massive WrestleMania weekend.
