The Rock: Cody Rhodes shared touching moment with Dwayne Johnson's mum after WWE Raw

Cody Rhodes made his WWE return at WrestleMania 38 on Saturday night, facing and beating Seth Rollins.

The match was Cody’s first in a WWE ring since 2016, and he appeared on WWE Raw last night to cut his first promo in six years.

Rhodes spoke about how it was his dream to win the WWE title, which led him back to the company. During the promo, Cody teared up several times, which you can read more about by clicking here.

That wasn’t the last that the fans in Dallas saw of Rhodes, as he also appeared in the dark match segment to wrestle Kevin Owens.

Cody interacted with fans during his match with Owens, even hugging one member of the crowd, as can be seen below.

However, it has since emerged that this wasn’t just any fan, but was actually Ata Johnson, the mother of Dwayne ‘The Rock‘ Johnson.

Cody even confirmed this on Twitter, saying he needed “momma’s assist” during his match with the former Universal Champion, in what was another touching moment.
