PL wrap: Luton grab first-ever win, Arsenal hit four
Luton claimed a first-ever Premier League win with a 2-1 victory at Goodison Park as Everton's positive vibes drained away in the Merseyside drizzle.
Set-piece goals from Tom Lockyer and Carlton Morris put Luton two up and, although Dominic Calvert-Lewin pulled one back before half-time, the Toffees could not find an equaliser.
Kai Havertz hit his first Arsenal goal, scoring from the spot, and Martin Odegaard also scored a penalty while Bukayo Saka and Ben White were also on target as Arsenal brushed aside Bournemouth 4-0.
Miguel Almiron’s strike and Alexander Isak’s spot-kick sealed a routine 2-0 win for Newcastle over Burnley, while Sheffield United’s misery continues. Six days on from being thrashed 8-0 at home by Newcastle the Blades lost 2-0 at West Ham after first-half goals from Jarrod Bowen and Tomas Soucek.
