Piers Morgan urges Cristiano Ronaldo to join Arsenal amid Manchester United transfer exit links
TV presenter Piers Morgan has urged Cristiano Ronaldo to complete a move to Arsenal in this summer's transfer window amid reports that the 37-year-old wants to leave Manchester United.
For the second Saturday in succession, reports emerged about Ronaldo's future at Old Trafford, with the latest claiming that he wants to leave the club this summer in pursuit of Champions League football. United finished sixth in the Premier League last term, meaning they will compete in the Europa League this forthcoming season.
The report by The Times claimed that the five-time Ballon d'Or winner, who will have aspirations of helping Portugal win the World Cup in Qatar later this year, wants to be allowed to leave United if they receive a 'satisfactory offer' for his signature. However, the Reds have once again moved swiftly to insist that he is not for sale this summer.

Nevertheless, Arsenal supporter Morgan, who regularly hails the Portugal captain on social media, has moved to try and convince the striker to join Arsenal. On Twitter, Morgan said: "It's time, @Cristiano #afc." He accompanied the tweet with a picture of himself presenting Ronaldo with an Arsenal shirt, donning 'Ronaldo 7' on the back.
The tweet prompted a response from a fellow Twitter user, who posted: "In your dreams Piers." Morgan replied: "It is, but Cristiano likes breaking new ground in football & I just told him that God + [Gabriel] Jesus up front is an irresistible opportunity..."
