PICTURE | Proteas skipper Bavuma receives gift from Pitso Mosimane

Proteas skipper Temba Bavuma, a Kaizer Chiefs fan, took to social media on Tuesday to show off a gift he received from current Al Ahly coach Pitso Mosimane. 

Mosimane, considered one of the greatest South African PSL coaches of all time given his success with Mamelodi Sundowns, has been in Egypt with Al Ahly since late 2020. 

He remains passionate about all things South African, though, and ahead of the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup where Ahly will be playing, he sent Bavuma the club's jersey with 'Mosimane 10' printed on the back. 

Bavuma expressed his gratitude, adding that he was "relieved" it wasn't a Sundowns shirt. 

The Club World Cup start in the UAE this weekend with Al Ahly taking on Mexican club Monterrey on Saturday. 

The Proteas, meanwhile, are off to New Zealand for Tests against the current world champions.
