This Morning doesn't shy away from the weird, the wonderful and the controversial when it comes to interviews and segments on the show. So it may comes as no surprise that on Monday's edition of the ITV daytime programme, Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield spoke to a special effects artist who has created prosthetics for almost every body part.

Matthew Mungle appeared live on the show via video link from Texas to chat to the hosts about his 40-year career as an Oscar-winning special effects makeup artist. But the conversation soon to the boom in demand for prosthetic penises in Hollywood with Matthew having made prosthetics for a host of stars including Chris Hemsworth and Will Ferrell.

Speaking about the rise in prosthetic manhood, Matthew told Holly and Phil: "I think it’s a fad maybe we’re going through and then at one point, it’ll just relax."

Speaking of how it works, he said: "A producer will call me and they want a penis for a certain project. I say, ‘Okay, what’s the length of it, what’s the girth, how big are the testicles?’ and I’ll go from there."

Matthew, who has been nominated five times for the Academy Award for Best Makeup, winning in 1992 for Bram Stoker's Dracula, revealed how the production team for 2015 film Vacation wanted a "bigger" penis than the Thor star possessed for a scene in the movie.

"It was through underwear, so we had to decide how big the penis was and how it was going to be attached to him," he explained. "I think the scene is just funnier than funny." But
