This Morning viewers were gobsmacked as Bary Manilow made an appearance on today's show. The singer appeared via video link during the latest episode of the ITV daytime show on Tuesday (May 24).
He chatted to Alison Hammond live on the programme who was holding the fort in the studio while Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield dashed back from presenting an hour of show from Buckingham Palace. The hosting duo headed to the London landmark ahead of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations next week.
As they made their way back across the city to join Alison in the studio for the last part of the show, Alison met three-year-old Isla, dubbed Britain’s youngest royalist, after delighting care home residents by visiting them dressed up as the Queen before speaking to Barry.

After introducing him on to the show, Barry said: "Good morning Alison. Good to meet you and good to see you," before the host continued: “It’s so good to see you. I think the last time we met was in Vegas all those years ago. You sung to me with the piano, it was absolutely amazing. It’s so good to see you."

Alison then asked: "What is the secret? You are not telling what the secret is." Brushing off Alison's compliment, Barry replied with a laugh: "It's luck, it’s just blind luck." He then added: "I’m really very old, please let’s not talk about it.
