Philippe Clement reveals every Rangers player has a price as he sticks £30m tag on Jack Butland

Philippe Clement has repeated his warning to the Rangers board to think twice before cashing in on Jack Butland.

But the Ibrox gaffer admits every other member of his squad has a price - including skipper James Tavernier and vice-captain Connor Goldson. The rumour mill has been churning all summer amid speculation the defensive stalwarts are being lined-up for a reunion with former Ibrox boss Steven Gerrard in Saudi Arabia.

Clement, however, isn’t buying the claims, which he branded “fake news”. But the Belgian conceded that if an interested suitor is willing to pony up the required cash for the long-serving pair, Rangers will have no choice but to consider the offer. And he admits that’s the case for every single member of his squad bar one - Butland. Clement first told his board to forget about selling the goalkeeper back in May but having admitted Gers now need to sell before they can buy this summer, the manager felt it was a point worth making again as he slapped a £30million price tag on the Ibrox No1.

“You cannot react to every fake news because then you’ll only be busy with that. All the speculation around them is the same speculation that you can have around every player. It is the same for us.

“If there is somebody coming with the right amount of money we will see, we will discuss. But you always need to see and then you need to replace somebody and you need enough money to replace them to make it better, otherwise it is also of no use.
