Philippe Clement is a Rangers fantasist and Ajax defeat proves it as Hotline phones a taxi for Jack Butland
It was no sleepy Sunday on the Hotline as Rangers' friendly defeat to Ajax had the phones ringing off the hook.
And poor Jack Butland was getting it in the neck for his clanger as Gordon Hendry, Ochiltree, reckons Liam Kelly should be handed the gloves already. He said: "A good work out for the Rangers players as well as some of our reserves against Ajax with Liam Kelly an absolute standout. Jack Butland must be benched after his horror display, he's a good shot-stopper but vulnerable at low efforts around ground level - exactly the same as last season."
Tam Williamson, Lanarkshire, had some choice words for Philippe Clement as he said: "Just watched the Ajax vs Rangers friendly and was delighted with what I witnessed! All the duds from last season are there for the long term as no clubs are prepared to part with ANY loose change to sign them? Big Phil is living in a fantasy world of his own making.
"He was exposed as deluded in Monaco and brought that club to its knees before he realised it was time to vanish in the first available taxi! Thankfully he is now in charge at Ibrox and I hope John Bennett dips into the biscuit tin and offers him a LONG term contract with further options to extend it!"
Rangers still aren't 100 per cent sure where they will be playing their home games in August and for some, that's nearly as concerning as Philippe Clement admitting he'll need to sell players before he can buy more.
