Philippe Clement in Rangers reminder of real moment of disrespect as Hotline lists 2 reasons Celtic will pile on pain

Philippe Clement reckons Brendan Rodgers showed a lack of respect for saying Celtic are looking forward to having “a bit of fun” in this weekend’s Old Firm blockbuster. But Hotline callers reckon the Ibrox boss needs to lighten up and is feeling the pressure after another weekend where the title rivals both secured home victories.

Celtic’s 3-0 win over Hearts saw Rodgers’ side hit top gear. Rangers responded with a 4-1 home defeat of 10-man Kilmarnock. Kenny Wilson, Moffat, said: “So Mr Clement thinks Brendan Rodgers was disrespectful by saying Celtic are going to have fun on Saturday? A very strange one as surely you want your players to enjoy themselves and he never said anything like it was going to be an easy game. Philippe Clement is obviously feeling the pressure. And if he wants to to talk about being disrespectful then losing and not shaking the managers hand after the game? That’s disrespectful.”

Robert McEwan, Mount Vernon, said: “Clement is looking at a remark from Rodgers to fire up his team, he's the same guy who's been spouting garbage since he came here. At Celtic we let our play do the talking.” Denis Bruce, Bishopbriggs, added: “The atmosphere is building up towards the battle of the two titans of Scottish football. Clement's reaction to Rodgers' poking fun at the meeting of the two teams next Saturday suggests that the pressure of the occasion is getting to the Ibrox boss who sounds as though he is on the verge of bursting a blood vessel. Let's hope the refereeing squad can keep their cool in what is threatening to be a boiling pot pressure cooker of a match with so much hanging on this one confrontation.”

Stephen Mulhern emailed: “That’s the best atmosphere I’ve witnessed at Celtic Park this season
