Philippe Clement in prickly Rangers verdict as he stews over no penalty and asks interviewer 'you want to get a reaction?'

Philippe Clement raged over Rangers being denied a penalty as he suffered his first defeat in the Old Firm derby - as the Belgian got snippy in a tetchy post-match debrief.

The Light Blues went down 2-1 at Parkhead to leave them trailing Celtic by eight points in the Scottish Premiership, albeit with two games in hand over their rivals. Paul Bernardo and Kyogo screamers in either half earned the Hoops victory despite James Tavernier’s stunning late free kick after Leon Balogun had been sent off.

There was a controversial first half moment when Alistair Johnston appeared to handle the ball but Nick Walsh and VAR Willie Collum didn’t award it, with Sky Sports later saying the reason was that Abdallah Sima had been in an offside position in the build up. Clement was proud of his players’ “bravery” but in his interview with BBC reporter Kheredine Idessane after the game he appeared riled.

Clement: "You want to get a reaction or something? Do you think that the better team won? I ask this question to you?

Kheredine replied: "I am interested in the Rangers manager's opinion of his teams performance and whether he thinks the better team won?"

Clement: "I am curious what you think. Did the better team win today?

Kheredine: "You could say that it was highly competitive between both teams."

Clement: "So no? We align on that way. It was a game that could have been a draw. A game that we could have won and a game that was decided on important details. We had more shots than Celtic in an away game without support from anyone here. We showed bravery and we created enough chances. Celtic were more clinical in the two actions and
