Peter Leven delivers Aberdeen FC stars two word response to Monday off request after battering Hibs

The Northern Lights made a rare appearance across Scotland this weekend.

And there was a strong hint they might just be switching back on for Aberdeen too as the Red Army belted out their anthem after a dazzling display in the capital. It’s now seven league games unbeaten for Peter Leven’s side who go seventh after this romp in Leith. And the brightest moment of the afternoon arrived with the last kick of the ball as 16-year-old debutant Fletcher Boyd climbed off the bench to knock home the fourth - and become the Dons’ youngest ever scorer.

But for Nick Montgomery it’s beginning to look increasingly likely that the lights on his Hibs reign could soon be put out after an awful day at the office for the under-fire boss. And Leven said: “He has been brilliant this season for the U18’s. He has contributed to more than 30 goals and has just turned 16.

“Just to get his debut is amazing but to score wow, he will never forget that. It 100 percent shows if you
