Peter Bosz in Rangers Champions League warning to PSV players as half time hairdryer earns Vitesse victory

PSV boss Peter Bosz has told his Eredivise stars to sharpen up ahead of facing Rangers - and four key improvements can make them a force to be reckoned with.

The Dutchman pulled no punches over a sloppy first half against Vitesse, with defender Andre Ramhalo among three men hooked at half time. Sitting 1-0 down at the break, goals from Ismael Saibari, Yorbe Vertessen and Luuk de Jong sealed victory after a bold triple substitution. Isaac Babadi and Johan Bakayoko were also hooked

Bosz was critical of the side's half-time showing and read the riot act to selected stars ahead of coming to Ibrox for a crucial Champions League play-off first leg midweek - but insists improvements could see his side turn tough to handle. He told De Telegraaf: "I am a trainer of PSV and look at my team and I think we have not done well. It was our fault that we got into trouble. We didn't play well defensively and we didn't play well in possession.

"We have to move without the ball and move the ball around quickly. Then we can make it difficult for any opponent. We didn't do that. Andre didn't play well, but so did eight or nine other players. I changed three and I could have changed more.

"Andre didn't do well, but he wasn't the only one. It wouldn't be right to single him out alone. Especially not, because it's been a bit more about him lately and I rate him very highly. For me he is a real defender, a guy, a guy who wins his header duels, who coaches and stands well.

"Today he had a very bad day. If we had been ahead, I probably wouldn't have changed him. You don't do that easily with your central defender. But now we were behind and I thought we should create one more man in midfield."

But the end to the second half brought further ire
