Perthshire golfer Connor Graham all set to represent Team Europe in Junior Ryder Cup

Rising Perthshire golf star Connor Graham is set to tee-up at the Junior Ryder Cup on Tuesday.

The 16-year-old has jetted out to Rome and has been putting in final preparations as Team Europe go for glory against the United States of America.

The 12th official edition of the event brings together some of the best male and female junior golfers in the world.

Connor, a Blairgowrie Golf Club member, has enjoyed a wonderful season and recently became the youngest ever player to compete in the Walker Cup.

Now the Junior Ryder Cup is his latest milestone moment.

In a change to the previous format, this year’s contest will be played over three days instead of two.

The competition will be contested over the Golf Nazionale to begin with before, on Thursday, action shifts to the Marco Simone Golf and Country Club - the venue for the actual Ryder Cup.

Past Junior Ryder Cup players include the likes of Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler, Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth.

Leading the European team this week is Scottish captain Stephen Gallacher.
