Pep Guardiola press conference LIVE Nathan Ake injury news ahead of Man City vs Sheffield United

Pep Guardiola will talk to the press on Friday afternoon ahead of Saturday's FA Cup semi-final.

Manchester City will be on a high going into their trip to Wembley after they advanced past Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Wednesday to book a semi-final date with Real Madrid.

But before that, the Blues have a domestic semi to deal with as they face high-flying Championship outfit Sheffield United in their bid to win the famous trophy for only the second time in Pep Guardiola's reign.

City do have some bad injury news to contend with as Nathan Ake suffered a hamstring strain in Germany and had to be taken off. He is a major doubt for the game as well as Wednesday's blockbuster clash with Arsenal and the manager may provide a more concrete time frame for his return.

Phil Foden could make his return to action, though, after being an unused substitute against Bayern.

There was one downside on Wednesday night as Nathan Ake picked up a serious-looking hamstring injury.

The defender has become crucial in Guardiola's side and though he was optimistic it wasn't as bad as feared afterwards, the Blues boss will likely paint a clearer picture of how long he will be out today.
