Pep Guardiola press conference LIVE Man City vs Real Madrid team news

Pep Guardiola could give an update on Kyle Walker and John Stones ahead of Manchester City's Champions League semi-final first-leg clash with Real Madrid.

Walker has missed the last three games since City's quarter-final second-leg at Atletico Madrid, and may not be ready to face Real on Tuesday. Stones limped off against Brighton last week and didn't face Watford, with Guardiola saying the pair would be assessed ahead of tomorrow's big game. He also confirmed that Nathan Ake and Kevin De Bruyne were playing through pain recently.

Guardiola will hope for at least one of Walker and Stones to be ready as Joao Cancelo is suspended for the first leg after accumulating too many yellow cards. If neither player is fit, Guardiola has no obvious right-back option to face Real.

The manager is likely to be asked about his defensive options, his tactical approach, thoughts on Carlo Ancelotti, and also on Real's in-form striker Karim Benzema.

Real Madrid have taken David Alaba and Casimero to Manchester, even with both being injury doubts. We'll have a further update on both when Carlo Ancelotti faces the media this evening and Real train at the Etihad.

Joao Cancelo is suspended, and there's a chance that Kyle Walker and John Stones won't be ready for tomorrow, leaving City without any obvious right-back against Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo.

Could Aleks Zinchenko be moved over to the right with Nathan Ake at left-back? Could Fernandinho drop back? Might Gabriel Jesus be used at right-back as Guardiola hinted on Saturday? Or could CJ Egan-Riley be given a Champions League semi-final start?
