Pep Guardiola press conference LIVE latest Man City team news updates ahead of Brentford game

Manchester City are back in Premier League action on Wednesday as they welcome Brentford to the Eithad Stadium.

With Liverpool not in action until Thursday, the reigning champions can move 12 points clear at the top of the table with a win over the London side.

City are now 13 games unbeaten in the league, of which 12 were wins until the draw at Southampton, and are heavily fancied to extend that run tomorrow night.

Riyad Mahrez returned from the Africa Cup of Nations to face Fulham in the FA Cup and duly returned to the scoresheet in the process, while the likes of Ederson, Ruben Dias and Bernardo Silva were rested.

Blues manager Pep Guardiola will give a fitness update on his squad, with Gabriel Jesus a doubt. Cole Palmer and James McAtee will be hoping for more minutes after being handed cameos in the FA Cup victory.

Follow every word from Guardiola's press conference below - it's due to start at 1.30pm.

Zack Steffen and Aymeric Laporte featured in the FA Cup against Fulham after injury concerns.

However, two of their teammates missed out and could be side-lined once again tomorrow night.

Here is the current state of play on the City treatment table;

Gabriel Jesus (OUT)

Cole Palmer (OUT)

Barring any further set-backs, they are the only two players unavailable for Pep Guardiola.
