Every word from Pep Guardiola press conference on Man City team news, Zinchenko and Liverpool FC

Pep Guardiola offered a team news update on his Manchester City squad ahead of the trip to Everton in the Premier League.

After City's defeat to Tottenham last week, Liverpool have won their game in hand to reduce the gap to the Blues to just three points at the top of the table.

Guardiola was to be asked about the new dynamic in the title race, with City able to re-extend the distance to six points with Liverpool in Carabao Cup final action this weekend.

Guardiola showed support for Aleks Zinchenko, who has been vocal in his opposition to the Russian invasion of his country Ukraine. The Ukrainian international has posted his feelings on social media, and attended a vigil in Manchester on Thursday in support of those in his homeland. Zinchenko trained yesterday as normal and was preparing to travel to Everton.

Meanwhile, City were given a boost as Jack Grealish and Gabriel Jesus also trained after a period on the sidelines, with Guardiola confirming they are both available to face Everton. Zack Steffen and Cole Palmer still appear to be out.
