Pep Guardiola press conference LIVE Erling Haaland update ahead of Man City vs Arsenal

Pep Guardiola will speak to the press on Tuesday afternoon ahead of the massive Premier League clash between Manchester City and Arsenal.

The game will be the first league meeting between the division's two top sides this season and the result could have massive consequences in the title race.

Arsenal appeared infallible for months but a loss to Everton followed by a draw against Brentford has seen them drop essential points. As a result, City can move ahead of the Gunners on goal difference should they win at the Emirates.

With another meeting between the sides set for April, a win for the Blues will also mean the destination of the title remains in their hands.

Erling Haaland was taken off at the break in the 3-1 win over Aston Villa on Sunday after receiving a 'kick' but was back in training on Monday. Guardiola may provide an update on his condition for the match in his press conference.

Erling Haaland was in training on Monday but Pep Guardiola may offer a more concrete update on his health today following his early exit against Aston Villa.

The Boss was quietly confident Haaland would be available in north London after speaking with the doctors at halftime. He claimed that the Norwegian was suffering discomfort due to a knock rather than a muscle injury but while Guardiola is hopeful, Haaland will not play if there is any sort of risk attached.

He said: “Erling has a kick and we will see. We will assess him in the next few days to see how severe it is. At halftime I spoke with the doctors to see and they said maybe at 3-0 we don’t need to take a risk and I agreed with the doctors.
