Potential Replacements For Romelu Lukaku at Chelsea
Raheem Sterling enjoyed another impressive season at Manchester City as they claimed yet another Premier League title. The England winger scored 17 goals and notched a further nine assists in 47 appearances across all competitions to help Pep Guardiola’s side finish a point clear of runners-up Liverpool.
However, Sterling has become something of a peripheral figure at City over the last couple of seasons with Guardiola often choosing not to start him in their most significant of matches. The fact that he was left on the bench for both legs of their Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid is a good indication that he’s seen as more of a squad player at the Etihad.
Sterling’s contract expires next summer and the 27-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal and Chelsea. And Guardiola revealed after last season’s 4-0 win at Norwich that he was unsure if the England star would remain in Manchester.
