Pep Guardiola has a new best Man City attack and may have secured the bargain of the summer
The new best front three
It worked a treat in Seville and did so again against Wolves, the new front three of Jack Grealish, Erling Haaland and Phil Foden seems to be a winner for Manchester City. All three found the back of the net in the win over Wolves.
That follows four goals that were scored when they first lined up alongside each other against Sevilla, this trifecta appears to be the one that's clicking the best for Pep Guardiola at the moment, with the interplay between all three working a treat. Riyad Mahrez hasn't been able to find the form he showed last season and Julian Alvarez is still adapting to life at City, so it looks like both will struggle for a way into the starting XI for important games for the foreseeable.
Foden loving it on the right
A big aspect of the front three working so well is that Foden is finding real joy on the right wing. It's a position he has rarely played in because Guardiola usually likes having him on his natural side to help provide width since Joao Cancelo tends to cut inside. Yet, he played there at Molineux and was brilliant.

He's developing a great partnership with Kevin De Bruyne. We've already seen the move where De Bruyne overlaps Foden, gets the ball and then puts in a brilliant cross plenty of times in the couple of games they've played and it was used to great effect on Saturday. We're bound to see it a lot more.
Grealish improvement
Questions started to be asked about Grealish following his poor display against Borussia Dortmund but he took a big step in answering them against Wolves. His goal contribution stats are not the be-all and end-all but to get on the score sheet within 55 seconds was certainly a confidence booster.
