Pep Guardiola gives verdict on Man City title and treble chances

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has dismissed talk of his team winning the treble but has admitted that the Premier League is in his side's hands heading into the run-in.

City currently sit six points behind Arsenal with a game in hand following the Gunners' draw at Liverpool last weekend. As well as the Premier League, the Blues are also competing in the Champions League and FA Cup.

Guardiola's men took a big step towards the semi-finals of the Champions League on Tuesday night when they beat Bayern Munich 3-0. City have already reached the semis of the FA Cup where Sheffield United await next weekend.

However, any talk of winning all three trophies is out of the question for Guardiola. Speaking to Sky Sports, the Catalan boss said: "Of course it (the league table) is much better (than it was a few weeks ago) but you have to win the games so it is good that it is in our hands but they have a lot of games to play.

"For both sides, Arsenal and ourselves, I would say they are difficult ones. They have more time for the fact that they can prepare one game a week but, at the same time, for our experience in the previous seasons we do not have much difference so we play every three or four days.

"They have to be ready mentality and the people have no distractions but every moment where we have a rest it is important. We don't have it because we are fighting for all competitions."
