People can now order 'viral' croissant butter and special hot sauce online

A host of popular local bakeries, delis, bars and independent traders have joined forces to sell a number of their well-loved items online for the first time.

Exclusive drops from the makers at the likes of Pollen, Gooey, and Medlock Canteen will be available to order from online food and drink platform DELLI this week until they sell out.

Going on sale today (August 27), the first item available to order is Pollen’s cult favourite and speciality croissant butter, which is known for selling out in 24 hours. It will be the first time the £10 spread, which features a blend of caramelised croissant with toasted white chocolate flakes, can be delivered nationwide.

On Thursday (August 29), a special Gringle’s Hot Sauce - available in peach and Kombu flavours - from Medlock Canteen chef and co-founder Sam Grainger will go on sale at £5.95 each.

Two pre-mixed cocktails from Northern Quarter venue Stray Bar will go on sale on Friday (August 30). Priced at £30 each, people can choose from a tomato vine margarita and a rhubarb and pine gimlet.

Online platform DELLI says it is working with Manchester’s independent food and drink makers to offer a way for people to enjoy their ‘vibrant food’ at home - whether they’re locals or living in another part of the country.
