Penalty to Rangers jibe was a bit of fun and potential Hibs rap has me checking my calendar – Tam McManus

I had to check it wasn’t April Fools’ Day on Sunday when I read that Hibs could be in trouble for their light-hearted social media swipe at Rangers’ penalty award.

An awful lot of people have got their knickers in a twist about the comment that stated “Penalty to Rangers. Who had 20 minutes?” But, come on, it’s just a bit of fun. Even Rangers fans laugh about the number of spot kicks they get with the ‘Penalty Rangers’ gifs that go round social media.

I read they could be in hot water with the SFA over the post on X. The world has gone mad if that’s the case. Where’s the fun gone in the game? Sometimes you just need to see the funny side of things and move on. For the record I had 15 minutes in the penalty lottery so I was pretty close!
