Paul Scholes admits major Man Utd blunder and apologises to current star
Paul Scholes has backtracked after revealing a private conversation with Jesse Lingard and calling the Manchester United dressing room a ‘disaster’.
The Red Devils have lost their last two Premier League games, conceding seven goals in that time. The first defeat was a 4-0 mauling at the hands of Liverpool.
And Ralf Rangnick’s men couldn’t turn their fortunes around when they travelled to Arsenal on Saturday. They lost 3-1, forcing Rangnick to admit the top four is ‘gone’ for Manchester United.
Reacting to the defeat in north London, BT Sport pundit Scholes said: “It’s an absolute mess. It’s a disaster of a dressing room.
“I had a quick chat with Jesse the other day and I’m sure he won’t mind me saying he said the dressing room is just a disaster.”
However, the United legend has backtracked on these comments, and seemingly apologised for throwing Lingard under the bus.
While appearing on talkSPORT, he said: “I’ve had a little bit of stick for that. I don’t know why I did it! Honestly, sometimes words just come out your mouth.
