Paul Parker names former Chelsea starlet as transfer option for Man Utd this summer

Paul Parker has urged Manchester United to bring in Southampton starlet Tino Livramento.

The 19-year-old joined Saints from Chelsea last summer and has been an instant hit on the south coast.

Right-back has been a problem area for United this season with neither Aaron Wan-Bissaka or Diogo Dalot able to make the role their own.

Ralf Rangnick opted to move Victor Lindelof out to the right for the crucial Champions League tie against Atletico Madrid last month in what was a damming indictment for both players.

While Rangnick is unlikely to be in charge next season, former United star Parker believes Livramento could be the perfect fit going forward.

‘Tino Livramento suits Ralf Rangnick’s way of playing – I can see that,’ Parker told BonusCodeBets.

‘If you talk about a Ralf Rangnick way of playing, he (Tino Livramento) suits that.

‘Because he is very athletic in what he does. He’s very quick and comfortable as a natural runner across the grass. He eases across the grass very quickly and smoothly.

‘He looks really solid. He’s steady. He’s not the flamboyant wingback that everyone wants to shout about, fluff up and make fantastic.

‘He’s happy to defend as well. He’s very very comfortable on the ball. When he goes forward he runs off the ball and gets into areas without the ball in the box, so yeah for me, he suits (Man Utd).

‘I can see that [him fitting at Man Utd].’
